About me

I am married and have lived in the town of Eltham, London, for all of my life. I have no children, but two spoilt dogs. My parents and my only brother have all died , but I have quite an extended family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and they are a very supportive bunch

I love History, and Family History in particular. When not tracing my own,I trace other peoples.

A list of names is not enough though, I have to find everything. I often feel like a detective, searching for clues, looking for the unexpected. That is what makes Family History exciting.

I also like to read, and read, and read......it's not unsual for me to get through a couple of books a week. Subjects vary, but mostly I read crime fiction.

I am also very interested in the local community, where I live. Once a thriving Town Centre, Eltham slowly declined over the years, but now thanks to some local enterprising people, I believe it is on its way back up. See ACTP and ACE

I design websites, when I have the time, but find it time consuming. I tend to work on my own more than any others at the moment.

I start a degree course on Psychology and Criminology very soon. It's a number of eyars since I last tudied, and right now it seems daunting, but I think I will get there. This course is something I have wanted to do for a long time, so I don't want to waste it
